Victoria Christy's Story

Upon meeting Victoria, one cannot help but wonder about her accent. “I am from Russia... with love!”, she laughs, and then adds seriously “I love America and appreciate and cherish it every day. Not on Thanksgiving Day only, but every day, I feel grateful to my new home country for the opportunities it offers.” Victoria came to the US after winning a nationwide contest in Russia and receiving a scholarship to study for an MBA in the United States.Having made Tampa her new home, she worked as a management consultant before deciding to follow her independent spirit and make real estate her full-time career in 2005. The following few years of the real estate slowdown in 2006 and then its complete meltdown in 2008 proved to be extremely challenging even for seasoned real estate agents, but Victoria was determined to succeed.
She says her genuine interest in people and consulting background lend to her “listening and empathetic approach” in real estate. She believes that “no matter how many accomplishments you have, being in the real estate business one must adopt a service mentality”. Victoria loves the marketing aspect of the business as it allows her to express her creativity. She quotes legendary business consultant Peter Drucker who said that “a business enterprise has two basic functions: marketing and innovation”. Victoria says she is fascinated and obsessed with both.
She has been working diligently to create additional marketing channels and exposure through her Facebook page and various community groups. "It takes time to create a following," Victoria says, but she has patience and focuses on baby steps and is excited about small successes. Victoria says that 85% of all content will soon be consumed via video, therefore her near-term initiatives include bringing weekly and monthly real estate video updates, answering sellers and buyers’ questions, featuring interesting real estate discussions.
All the marketing efforts and demands of the instant communication in 2017 are extraordinary, and she says it’s impossible to do it well alone, hence The Christy Group was created. Obsessed with providing the very best service, Victoria says that “consumers expect an immediate response via all communication channels, and we want to deliver.”
Victoria always beams with energy, enthusiasm and a happy attitude, and believes that the only way to success is to bring more value to your clients than anybody else in the industry. She says that today’s buyers prefer and are willing to pay more for the “turn-key” homes. She often consults her clients on the “intelligent improvements” months before a sale is to take place. To create an easy way to learn what improvements would help sellers maximize proceeds from their future sales Victoria is planning to host regular consumer seminars. Victoria’s clients leave no doubt that she delivers on her commitment to providing the best service with the most personal touch in their elaborate testimonials and Zillow reviews.
If one could not tell already, focus on growth – both business and personal – is crucial to Victoria Christy. She has attended many Tony Robbins’ events and has been working with Tom Ferry’s real estate coaching organization to continue to grow, sharpen her business skills and collaborate with like-minded people. She identifies with the two organizations as both approach life and business from a place of contribution.
Last year, as a Platinum Partner of Tony Robbins’ organization, she traveled to Kenya and India, trips that included aspects of charitable work, education and adventure. She says being around people focused on growth and giving back is incredibly inspiring. To demonstrate that commitment, she donated 10% of all the real estate commissions earned in the 6 months following Irma in September of 2017 to hurricane relief efforts.
